The site provides:

Touring Area
Mainly hard standing with a few grass pitches, all with electric hook up.  There are TV connection points on most pitches please ask when booking. Awnings can easily be erected on the hard standing pitches with good quality pitch irons (except pitches Q&J)

Camping Field
Small grassed area postioned through the Wigwam Field for upto 5 tent pitches. It is well sheltered with trees and hedges along 2 sides and open field fencing facing the Alpaca Field. The tent field cannot provide electric hook up and vehicle access is impossible although we can provide trolleys for equipment transport. On line booking not available for camping to book a pitch please contact the site office.

Wigwam Field
Small grassed area, well sheltered with trees and hedges which is home to 6 x 5 berth Wigwams 2 x 3/4 berth Wigwams and 1 Wigwam En-Suite for those that wish that bit more luxury.  For detailed information on the self catering facilities please visit our Wigwam page. No Vehicle access beside the Wigwam but Car Park provided close by.  We also provide a wooden under cover cooking gazebo just in case it rains!

Washing Facilities
Two excellent heated washroom facilities with individual large wet room style showers. No charge is made for hot water. Hair dryers are available in the laundry room for a small charge.  The Main facility building showers are not available over night (22.30hrs - 07.00hrs) however the toilets and hot water are still available and if you wish to shower over night then the bottom toilet block is available.

Laundry Facilities
The laundry room is equipped with coin operated washing machines and tumble dryers as well as two pot sinks, ironing board with coin operated iron, hair dryer and straighteners.

Other Facilities

Calor gas sales and exchanges

The site shop is well stocked and is open daily during the season. We stock a variety of local produce including, bread, milk, bacon, eggs, sausages etc. as well as provisions, games, toys, gifts, barbecue equipment and camping and caravan accessories. Newspapers can be ordered daily.

Internet connection is available WIFI and time can be purchased during shop opening hours or on the net via card payment. Please ask for details

Play park area is designed to suit most children from nursery upwards with a range of equipment set in a base of rubber matting. A separate area is provided for ball games away from the play park. There is a table tennis table outside main reception.

Tourist information is provided in the washing-up area, laundry and reception.

Bicycle Hire with accessories, ask at main reception.

Come and meet our herd of Alpacas, Dudley & Friends.

Crock Boxes available on a daily hire for the self catering wigwams.

Our wildlife corner in reception area is dedicated to information with exhibits found in and around the park. Our beautiful slide show of all the wonderful wildlife to be seen around the park at different times of the year can viewed on screen and of course, not to be missed star of the show – the swallow cam – live pictures of our seasonal residents who return year after year to nest under the eaves of our main building to raise their young.

We wish you a happy and peaceful stay at Woodclose and trust that by observing the following points we can make it both a pleasant and memorable occasion.  Unfortunately, we must bring to your attention that we cannot accept any responsibility for any loss, theft or damage to personal property whilst staying at our park and therefore would remind you to take care in protecting your personal property.

• The caravan park gates will close between 24.00hrs and 07.00hrs.

• Our speed limit is 10 MPH. or less - preferably 1st gear.

• Great care must be taken when driving on the grass, especially in wet conditions.  Please ask for assistance if damage to the ground is to occur.

• ALL dogs must be kept on a lead whilst on the park and be exercised off the park.  Should accidents happen PLEASE PICK UP!

• Camp fires are NOT permitted.  Barbecues and hot utensils/kettles must not be placed directly on the grass - any damage caused must be paid for.  Does not apply to the Wigwam fire pits.

• Minimum noise after 10.30 p.m. Anyone creating a disturbance will be asked to leave – NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN.

• In the interests of safety, limited cycling/skating etc. is allowed, please ask.  Children should be supervised and wear appropriate safety clothing (the park is not a race track). 

• Children are very welcome on this park but we do ask that they are supervised at all times.  All children must play in the designated areas (please ask) and not in or around the toilet blocks/caravans.   Any damage caused will ultimately be the responsibility of the guardian.  The play park is not available after 9pm or dusk whichever comes first.

• Only breathable ground sheets may be used on the grass.
