At Woodclose Park we want to provide an enjoyable experience to everyone and are committed to providing as much information about our current facilities and future plans as we can.   • There are low level counters provided in the Reception

  • Clear signage is used throughout the park with pictograms where appropriate.
  • Walls and doors to main areas have high colour contrast.
  • The park is dimly lit at night due to our dark sky policy. Torches are available to buy at the shop, however, we recommend bringing your own.

Dementia

  • Familiarisation visits are available on request.

Autism

  • We offer contactless check-in so you can head straight to your accommodation with no queues or waiting around.
  • We have a sensory story available here (works best on mobile).
  • Familiarisation visits are available on request.

  • We have a hearing loop in the reception/shop.
  • All staff have disability awareness training.
  • TVs have subtitles.

General

  • All staff have disability awareness training.
  • Staff are available 24 hours a day.
  • There is disabled parking outside of the reception/shop.
  • Dogs are welcome in all areas except the toilet/shower block.

We are a Visit Britain 5 Star holiday park set in the beautiful Lune Valley just over the River Lune less than a mile from Kirkby Lonsdale. The park is well laid out in an area of outstanding natural beauty, with a number of hardstanding pitches for tourers, secluded camping/glamping field, self-catering flat, and over 80 pitches for holiday homes and Lodges. The outlying fields provide habitats for a rich variety of animals, birds, flora and fauna.

    Travel by Public Transport

    • The following buses stop at Kirkby Lonsdale (from which a taxi can be booked for the short 2 minute ride to the park):
      • 567: Kendal to Kirkby Lonsdale
      • 580, 581: Skipton to Settle and Kirkby Lonsdale
      • 81: Lancaster to Hornby to Kirkby Lonsdale

    Parking

    • There is ample room for parking/manoeuvring outside reception on a gravelled surface
    • Each glamping pod has a space for parking in a car park adjacent to the glamping field with ample room for unloading/manoeuvring
    • Please note, parking for all glamping pods is on a gravelled surface
  • Getting Around Outside

    General

    • The park has tarmac roads throughout with occasional speed bumps.
    • The area surrounding the touring pitches, and glamping pods is gravelled.

    Outside the Shop

    • The reception is located at the centre of the park with level access.
    • There are picnic benches set up outside on a grass area.
    • There are smaller tables on a concrete area directly outside of reception.

    • Most staff have disability awareness training.
