Kirkby Lonsdale Brass Band Competition

An annual open-air contest held in the town's Market Square, attracting bands from across the North of England. Bands are judged on both their marching deportment down Main Street and their subsequent musical performance in the square, offering a lively display of brass band talent.

Friday Racing at Cartmel and Olly Murs

Olly Murs is set to perform at Cartmel Racecourse, promising an exciting combination of thrilling horse racing and live pop music from the beloved singer. This event will be a highlight for fans of both racing and his chart-topping hits.

Fish & Chip Supper Cruises - Pooley Bridge

The fish & chip evening cruise is a firm favourite, featuring musical entertainment from Pete Lashley. This is a two-hour evening cruise from Pooley Bridge pier with a fish & chip supper (veggie/gluten-free options available on booking).

Great Yorkshire Show

A four-day agricultural event held annually in Harrogate, celebrating the best of farming, food, and countryside life. It features thousands of animals competing, thrilling main ring attractions, and a wide array of food, craft, and machinery exhibits.

Kirkby Lonsdale Charter Market

Variety of local arts, crafts and produce from Lancashire, Cumbria and Yorkshire - great opportunity to shop locally! The Country Market takes place on the same day at Lunesdale Hall between 10am and 12 noon and is also a great source of home-made goods.

Walks take place on the first and third Friday and Saturday of each month

Guided Vault Walks

Discover the rich cultural history and mysteries of Kirkby Lonsdale as you venture through the cobbled streets and secret ginnels with a local, trained guide. Walks start at 11.30 am. and last about 50 minutes. £5.00 for adults, under 16s free. Visit the information and gift shop for details.
